Rosacea is characterized by a pink or red color on the cheeks, nose, chin and sometimes lower forehead. It consists also of acne bumps and tiny blood vessel telangiectasia. Sunlight, caffeine, spicy foods, hot foods, and anything that makes the face flush, will exacerbate the condition. Treatment is by topical medications for the acne component, and light therapy and lasers targeting redness for the background erythema and blood vessel telangiectasia.
