Dr. Michael I. Jacobs is a renowned Manhattan-based, Board Certified dermatologist with extensive experience in office practice, research, and education. Dr. Jacobs is recognized as a leading diagnostician of skin cancer as well as a leading cosmetic dermatologist.

He was recently appointed to set up and Chair a new Advisory Board for AIM at Melanoma, one of largest and most important international melanoma foundations focused on the discovery of the cure for this disease. The organization is the trusted global leader in melanoma education, advocacy, and research. Based in San Francisco, California, AIM at Melanoma approached Dr. Jacobs for his renowned reputation in detecting melanoma.
In addition to this prestigious honor, Dr. Jacobs also serves as Associate Attending Dermatologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) and The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) as well as Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he teaches Cornell medical students and Cornell dermatology residents. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery as well as a member of the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Jacobs is also the official team dermatologist of the New York Mets.

Dr. Jacobs graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude from NYU at the age of 20. He received his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College at the age of 24. At 28, he both entered private practice and was appointed the Director of Dermatology at HSS, Cornell’s orthopedic and rheumatology hospital.

Dr. Jacobs is also active in the contemporary art world, having participated during the last 20 years on contemporary art acquisition committees at the Whitney Museum, MoMA, Getty Museum, Asia Society Museum, Museum of the Art Institute Chicago, Renaissance Society of Chicago, Johnson Museum at Cornell University, and the Hirshhorn Museum (Washington DC). His passion for contemporary art, beginning during his university days at NYU, has greatly influenced his practice of cosmetic dermatology.
